Fourteen live auction sessions and two Internet-only sessions brought the total sales to a staggering $46,483,309. Some of the most famous names in numismatics were represented in this sale, with pieces from the John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, the Thos. H. For the third straight year, Stacks Bowers Galleries paper currency sessions at the Official Auction of the ANA Worlds Fair of Money drew rave reviews from collectors and dealers who bid with enthusiasm and often paid record prices for rare and significant notes in all genres. Housed in an AU-58 PCGS Secure holder, this amazing coin sold for a hefty $329,000 when it crossed the block.
