Get ready! Get set! Go! Now that our World’s Fair of Money auction in Philadelphia is well under way and soon will be history, here at Stack’s Bowers Galleries we are looking forward to our next showcase event. That will be our official auction of the Whitman Coin and Collectibles Expo in Baltimore in November – traditionally among the top several best attended and most dynamic conventions of the year. In fact, a survey taken among dealers a couple of years ago resulted in Baltimore being the number one most popular convention city of all. Stack’s Bowers Galleries has the exclusive franchise with Whitman to conduct the sales.
As you read these words our sale is fairly open. Choice consignments are being invited for all series including coins, tokens, medals, and paper money. A new feature this year will be the annual meeting of the Colonial Coin Collectors Club (C4) to be held with this event, with a special auction presentation we are preparing in addition to our regular sale. If you have colonial or early American coins for sale, consign and you will be playing to the most active audience ever!
Our auction will range from popular affordable items to classic rarities and just about everything in between. It will be a star-spangled galaxy of numismatic delights. I invite you to contact info@stacksbowers.com to include your items. Our commissions are most reasonable and our results are unsurpassed. Over the past years, in fact dating back to 1935, we have handled more great collections and more great rarities than has any other rare coin auction company in the world. Our “dream team” as I like to call it, is ready to work with you. As we are in August and the sale is not until November, by being an early bird you can secure a great position in the sale and, also, key items can participate in our extensive pre-sale publicity (not possible when consignments are sent in at the latest date).
I look forward to working with the Stack’s Bowers Galleries staff in helping to catalog your special coins, sets, or entire collection to their most favorable and most profitable advantage to you.
Best wishes,
Dave Bowers
