As the spring semester gets under way, young numismatists considering a career in numismatics should think about applying for a summer internship at Stack’s Bowers Galleries. Our galleries in Boston and Philadelphia both have openings, and we will be accepting applications on a rolling basis.
Working alongside the talented teams at Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ store locations will help interns hone skills in a wide range of academic and professional fields. Interns will take on a variety of tasks, helping gallery staff buy and appraise collections, catalog sales, organize and record inventory, manage client relationships, and assist with any other functions of the galleries.
Whether or not interns ultimately want to pursue a career in numismatics, working at an auction house will distinguish any resume, and numismatic skills can be brought to bear in a range of contexts. Any high school or college students with an interest in numismatics, or learning more about auction houses, should consider applying. Availability for the whole summer is strongly preferred.
