Last week, the highly anticipated Great American Coin and Collectibles Show premiered at the Tampa Convention Center, running from September 10 to 14. Spearheaded by seasoned dealer and show promoter Larry Shepherd, in partnership with Coin World, the event established a solid foundation by attracting over 600 dealers from across the nation. Despite being a first-time show, the bourse floor was vast, offering a diverse range of items for collectors and dealers. While public attendance was lighter than hoped, the organizers emphasized their commitment to further efforts to realize the event’s full potential.
The show’s mission is described as follows: ”Established in 2024 for a new generation of collectors and dealers, the Great American Coin and Collectibles (GACCS) show delivers more relevant and new tradeshow innovations in addition to the vitally important in-person viewing, transactions and educational opportunities that are only possible at a professional event.”
GACCS plans to host two shows annually, with the next ones scheduled for April 1-4, 2025 in Fort Lauderdale at the Broward County Convention Center, and September 23-27, 2025 in Rosemont, Illinois, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
