The Munich Numismata is an international trade fair for coins, medals, and paper money. It takes place once a year in the spring and I was pleased to participate in this year’s event from March 1-3.
The numismatic market in Europe remains very strong. The organizer had a fully booked show of European dealers featuring coins, medals, and banknotes. The hall was packed with customers from all over Europe, including eastern Europe and Russia. I was able to take in some good consignments for upcoming Stack’s Bowers Galleries auctions in the summer and fall of 2024.
I will be staying in Europe from through March 16 and will be visiting Denmark for appointments. Starting on April 13 I will be at the Swedish trade show called “FriMynt.” It is taking place in Helsingborg and you can find the Stack’s Bowers Galleries booth in the section for “Coins, Banknotes and Auction.”
