We recently enjoyed a telephone conversation with a longtime Stack’s Bowers customer who mentioned how happy he was that our iAuction format was not just a “dumping ground” for ugly and low-value coins. Quite the contrary, as many of you know by now.
In the upcoming iAuction sales event we feature a coin that is nothing short of fantastic, both physically as well as aesthetically. The coin is a gorgeous lilac-gray NGC-certified AU-58 1820 half dollar with Small 8 and Curled 2 in the date, Overton-103 to be precise. The surfaces are immaculate and the strike is bold for the date, and a blend of soft gold and neon blue engages the rims. Further, it is a definitive example of the AU-58 grade – at first glance it has the appearance of a Choice Mint State coin, but with just a trace of wear on the high points. That describes this half dollar right down to the proverbial “T.”
If you haven’t already discovered the ease and convenience of our iAuction events, we cordially extend an invitation for you to do so. Isn’t it time you joined the countless other satisfied collectors who have added great coins to their collections through a Stack’s Bowers iAuction internet sale?
