Did you know Stack’s Bowers Galleries Director of Currency, Peter Treglia, starred in a recent episode of Pawn Stars? Peter was called by our good friend Rick Harrison, co-owner at The Gold and Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, to review a banknote that a customer had found in an old book. After examination it was determined the note was an 1891 $1 Silver Certificate with a retail value of roughly $1,500. The note was successfully purchased by the “Pawn Stars” and the episode aired on February 24, 2016.
