This coin
is one of just five 1887 half dollars that has received the Deep Cameo
designation at PCGS, and it is tied with one other for finest known at
Proof-66+. A CAC approval sticker confirms its superior quality. This Proof
offers dramatic contrast with sparkling white frost on the devices, offsetting
the deeply reflective fields. The 1887 is a rare date with only 710 pieces
struck, and this splendid example is worthy of any advanced collection. For
over 130 years, it has been faithfully preserved and protected.
