I touched down in Hong Kong this week, and immediately was blown away at all the holiday decorations that have sprouted up around the city. In most years, I am in Hong Kong for our Spring and Fall auctions, but this year we have added a December auction. It seems Hong Kong is giving New York a run for its money in terms of holiday cheer.
Between Thursday, December 7 and Tuesday, December 12 we will be auctioning over 3,000 lots from our new office, including both coins and paper money! The days of December being slow in the coin business seem to be behind us. We have already had a robust week of lot viewing and expect to bring 2024 to a close with another successful auction!
By the looks of the material in front of Kelvin Cheung and Nirat Lertichitvikul when I walked in, I have no doubt that we will be very busy for our upcoming auctions as well.
