Last week I found myself in Boston and was so excited to stop in at our new gallery to see how it was coming along. What a treat! It’s a fabulous location in an exciting part of town with the hustle and bustle of Faneuil Hall right around the corner.
Most of you know Kevin Vinton of our team, now making Boston his new home. While well versed in all areas of numismatics, he specializes in early American copper coins. He was busy working on the John McBride Collection, to be sold in a special session of our January CCO Auction. It is a complete collection of Matron Head large cents by Newcomb number – a feat very few collectors have ever achieved. It is replete with choice specimens, rare die states, and significant pedigrees. This will be a wonderful sale for early copper enthusiasts so make your plans to participate!
Stanley Chu, our store manager, is a well-known and respected numismatist from the Boston area and we are so happy to have him on board! He helped me with a handful of items I brought in from a client and made the transaction seamless. The client was so pleased he promised to help spread the word among his colleagues. Our team also includes Chris Bullfinch, who was manning the phones, the front counter and putting the finishing touches on a press release, and Asher Zelson, who was showing some interesting bullion items to a client.
Our Boston team can do it all, so please make a point of stopping in to see them when you are in the area!
