Betts-621
1783 Lightning Averted, Tyranny Repell'd Medal

Obverse Text: LIGHTNING AVERTED TYRANNY REPELL'D
Reverse Text: 1783 | UNITED STATES

Catalog Reference

A.J.N., VII, 49
Fuld-FR.M.UN.2
Greenslet GM-81
Julian CM-7

Combining the obverse of Betts-546 with the reverse of Betts-616, this muling was struck at the U.S. Mint from dies produced by John Reich for Sansom's History of the American Revolution series. This particular combination of dies is quite scarce; its placement in the Betts, Julian and Greenslet works places extra pressure on the very limited supply.
