The obverse of Betts-505 shows an armored bust of Charles III facing right. The reverse has the Arms of Veracruz which shows a castle in the center, adorned with a cross in the center turret. The inscription surrounds the Arms. This piece is clearly modeled after the earlier Verarcuz medals of Luis I and Ferdinand VI and the quality of the cast is poor.
The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the January 2015 NYINC Auction, where it realized $2,056.
