The obverse of this medal shows the armored bust of Charles III facing towards the right. On the reverse is a depiction of a spread eagle with its head facing the right and ornamentation below. An additional reverse die is unpublished in most references (with the exception of Restrepo) that shows the eagle reversed and extra ornamentation.
The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the January 2015 NYINC Auction, where it realized $3,818.
