The obverse of the medal has an armored draped bust of King Charles III facing the right. On the reverse of the medal is a crowned monogram of the Virgin Mary with cardinals hat above. Below are a fountain, tree, castle, pergola, globe, and a crescent moon. Struck from the same obverse die as the 1761 Guanajuato medal of Charles III Grove-K-28.
The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the January 2015 NYINC Auction, where it realized $1,880.
