The obverse features an armored draped bust of Charles III facing the right. In this depiction of Charles III, he is wearing a small wig. The jewel of the Order of the Golden Fleece sits between the M of PROCLAM. and the O of MADERO. On the reverse is the Arms of the Consulado. The Arms show a vase with three flowers to the left and the 5 wounds of St. Francis to the right. Surrounding the shield are two blooming flowers, which is a slight departure from the Arms adornments in Betts-480 and Betts-481. The shield is also noticeably smaller in Betts-482.
The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the January 2015 NYINC Auction, where it realized $1,880.
