The obverse side of this medal shows the armored bust of Charles III facing the right. On the reverse, we see the Arms of Havana, which is symbolized through three castles (top, left, and right) with a vertical key placed below. This basic obverse proto-mold was used to create other Cuban proclamation medals, including the 1760 medal from Bejucal (Betts-449).
