Grove-Li-1
Herrera-19
Medina-6

This medal commemorates the proclaiming of Luis as the king in Mexico City. Despite its somewhat crude nature, this medal is a rare and desirable issue for the brief reign of a king who would rule for just over seven months in 1724, at which point he was succeeded by his predecessor and father, Philip V.
