The 1930-S is the final San Francisco Mint issue in the Standing Liberty quarter series, and it is a major strike rarity with fewer than 1% of the original mintage of 1,556,000 coins qualifying as Full Head (per J.H. Cline, Standing Liberty Quarters, 2007 edition).

The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the Spring 2022 Showcase Auction, where it realized $5,760.
