1927 Standing Liberty Quarter
One of the more readily available late date Standing Liberty quarters in the finest Mint State grades, the 1927 (mintage: 11,912,000) is a perennial favorite among quality conscious type collectors. While not particularly scarce with a full head, the population drops off rapidly above MS-66.
The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the D. Brent Pogue Part VII Auction, where it realized $7,800.
