Though nearly 6.4 million examples of the date were produced, the 1920 Walking Liberty Half Dollar reveals its elusive nature at the Gem level; indeed, just 15 examples of the date have been certified finer than MS-65 by PCGS. Despite its standing as one of the more readily obtainable issues in the early Walking Liberty half dollar series, the 1920 is more challenging to locate than the 1916, 1916-D, 1917, 1929-D and 1933-S.
