In Mint State the 1919-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar is the third rarest issue of its type, surpassed by only the 1921-S and 1919-S. However, it is a severe strike rarity, with most Uncirculated examples flatly struck in the centers and limited to grades well below Gem.
