Among the scarcer issues in the Proof Liberty nickel series, the 1901 had a mintage of 1,985 pieces. In grades of Proof-67, expect to pay up to get a coin that has nice eye appeal and reflectivity. In lower PR-65 grades, the date is readily available versus the current demand for the pieces.
