Popular as a turn-of-the-century issue, the Proof 1900 Indian cent has a mintage of 2,062 pieces. These coins were divided fairly evenly between the year's silver and minor Proof sets, 912 for the former and the remaining 1,150 for the latter. Cameo-finish specimens are rare in all grades.

The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the August 2019 Rosemont ANA Auction, where it realized $28,800.
