First of only four proof deliveries in the regular issue Twenty-Cent series, the 1875 has a reported mintage of 2,790 pieces. We have no reason to doubt this total, as the issue is obtainable enough in lower grades to suggest that these coins were widely distributed in the year of issue.

The example to the left was sold by Stack's Bowers Galleries in the January 2010 New York Americana Auction, where it realized $8,855.
