Stacks Bowers Galleries conducted its Official Auction of the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Baltimore Expo March 19-27, 2012. The impressive sale presented 6,554 U.S. coin, currency and exonumia lots and realized a total of $16,407,956.

Stacks Bowers Galleries announced today that John Kraljevich, an independent numismatist and researcher, has signed an exclusive contract for numismatic cataloging services with the firm. Kraljevich, a resident of New York City, cataloged for predecessor firms Bowers and Merena Galleries (2000-2003), American Numismatic Rarities (2003-2006), and Stacks (2006-2007), before opening his own firm in August 2007.
Stacks Bowers Galleries announces that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with the Colonial Coin Collectors Club (C4) to conduct an annual auction of Colonial coinage and related material. The inaugural joint auction will take place during the Stacks Bowers Galleries Official Auction of the Whitman Coin and Collectibles Expo in Baltimore November 12-18, 2012. At this show, C4 will have its annual convention. Stacks Bowers is inviting consignments of Colonial coinage and related material such as Colonial currency as well as other U.S. coins and currency from now until September 24, 2012, and interested consignors are asked to call 800.458.4646 to discuss opportunities.
