One of the finestcollections of Colombian coins ever assembled saw the light of day for thefirst time in decades at this years New York International NumismaticConvention, bringing bidders from all over the world to compete for its prizes.Assembled from the 1960s into the 21st century by a well-known specialist, theEldorado Collection comprised coins from Gran Colombia, including those struckin the name of Ecuador, with depth and breadth never before offered at auction.This first Eldorado offering focused on gold coins, as well as silver coinsfrom the 17th through early 19th centuries.
