The strongest area of this session is undoubtedly large size federally issued currency, featuring many great rarities. Also noteworthy are some outstanding National Bank Notes.
The sale leads with the offering of a Fr. 212b 1864 $500 Interest Bearing Treasury Note. This note has been off the market since 1971 and is the only example known to date. Among other highlights can be found a fantastic selection of Small Size National Bank Note Uncut Sheets, many featuring Serial Number 1’s. A nice selection of Colonials, Obsolete bank notes, and small size notes allows the opportunity for all collectors to participate in this sale.
