As summer is ending, you may find yourself in New England for its famous fall foliage. While you are here enjoying the beauty of mother nature, stop by Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ newest location in Boston. Adjacent to the iconic Faneuil Hall and historic Quincy Market, Stack’s Bowers Galleries of Boston will be ready for all your numismatic needs; whether you are interested in buying, selling, consigning, or appraising, we do it all!
Recently landed in the Boston gallery are some famous Massachusetts half cent and cent pieces struck between 1787 and 1788, sought after by coin collectors and tourist alike. These early American coppers are among the many favorites for tourists to purchase as mementos of their trip to Boston. These early American coppers are loved by coin collectors because they were produced from hand engraved dies, which resulted in many different types, varieties, and die marriages. Head Numismatist Kevin Vinton is an expert in identifying these early American copper varieties and types. Come on in and check them out – Kevin will be more than happy to answer questions or explain the different types and varieties we have available for sale in the gallery.
Aside from early American coppers, we also have other interesting materials here in Boston, including an 1885 Carson City gold double eagle certified EF-40 by NGC, the famous 1918 $2 National Currency (also known as the Battleship Note) certified by PMG Extremely Fine 40 Exceptional Paper Quality, a Switzerland 1986 Gold bullion set, and too many other highlights to be listed here.
