We have offered some beautiful Tibetan Gold 20 Srangs in the past and the present example, offered in lot 51106 of the May Auction, is no less exceptional. Many of these previous examples have sold for well over their high estimates. The currently offered coin is graded by PCGS as MS-63+ and carries an estimate of $15,000 to $25,000. In April 2021, we sold a PCGS MS-63+ example for $24,000, in October 2020 we sold a PCGS MS-62 coin for $18,000, and in August 2018, we sold a PCGS MS-63+ for $9,000. Keep an eye on the present example to see how it fares in the May 2022 Hong Kong Auction. As always, best of luck bidding!
Coins in Motion seeks to enable collectors, bidders, and consignors to accurately appreciate how Stack’s Bowers Galleries coins look in hand. Ultra-high resolution animations depict how luster moves over the coin’s surfaces, while the rotating motion allows for any possible imperfections to be revealed.
