If you are stranded on a desert isle, we hope you have a good book or two to read. Or, if your island is not far away from civilization, I hope you can tie in to the Internet.
I suppose that not many readers are under a palm tree in a distant sea, but many of us are staying at home, not stranded although it can feel that way sometimes. These are strange times, but if we all do what we can to stop the spread, hopefully the pandemic will be behind us sooner rather than later.
With regard to Stack’s Bowers Galleries it is business as normal for most of our activities. We did move our March auction to SBG Headquarters in California, which seems to have worked out fine for consignors and bidders. It makes us appreciate how the Internet age has changed things for the better and offers opportunities we wouldn’t have dreamed of in the last century. Planning continues full speed ahead for our ongoing 2020 auction program which will feature great rarities as well as many items of modest value as well.
