The deep golden fields are liquid-like in appearance, and the richly frosted bright golden design motifs impart the desirable cameo effect eagerly sought by today’s collectors. This beautiful Gem Proof practically defines the art of 19th century Proof coinage. Christian Gobrecht’s design is sharp right down to Miss Liberty’s tiniest hair detail, and the reverse is equally bold with even the tiniest leaf details present.
