The January 2024 New York International Numismatic Convention (NYINC) Auction was a great success for Stacks Bowers Galleries with prices realized totaling nearly $13 million. Remarkable results were achieved across a wide range of specialties, including the session offering Spanish Colonial Cuartillos from the Emilio M. Ortiz Collection. Featuring a vast array of Real issues spanning the entire period of Spanish colonial power, the sale included many rarities and unique offerings. A unique masterpiece from The British Royal Mint, became the most valuable lot of Stacks Bowers Galleries January 2024 Auction when it crossed the auction block for $660,000 on Friday, January 12. The firms sale of ancient coins and world coins and paper money was held in conjunction with the New York International Numismatic Convention (NYINC) and realized a total of nearly $13 million across 11 live and Internet only sessions.

Legendary auction house Stack's Bowers Galleries announces their January sale to be held in conjunction with the 2024 New York International Numismatic Convention (NYINC). This monumental offering of ancient and world coins, medals, and world currency features over 6,200 lots spread across 11 sessions (both live and internet) scheduled for January 12 through 18, with total estimates surpassing $12 million.

Stack's Bowers Galleries is honored to once again partner with The Royal Mint of the United Kingdom for an auction sale of historic British numismatics. Presented in February 2024 will be a special auction of coins that have been tested and evaluated as part of the annual Trial of the Pyx, an ancient and rigorous evaluation ceremony with origins that stretch back over seven centuries. This is the first time these Trial of the Pyx test coins will be presented in a public auction, and it is sure to draw attention from collectors and investors around the world.

Collectible Market Qualified (CMQ), a new service identifying the highest quality graded coins in the market, will be accepting submissions at the upcoming 2024 Florida United Numismatists Convention, Wednesday, January 3 through Saturday, January 6 at Table #830. The first 500 coins submitted before the close of the show on Thursday will be delivered on site Friday afternoon. As a further benefit, the first 100 clients who submit coins for review will receive two free CMQ submissions and two free Coins In Motion submissions.

Stacks Bowers Galleries presented Part V of the Sydney F. Martin Collection in Griffin Studios as part of their November 2023 Official Auction of the Whitman Coin Expo. This much anticipated auction featured some of Martins most prized specialty collections and realized $2,004,750, building on the success of the firms previous offerings from the Martin Collection, which now total well over $17 million and counting. Stacks Bowers Galleries Official Auction of the 2023 Whitman Winter Expo realized $22,958,460 across a wide range of American numismatic material. Selections from the Sydney F. Martin, Fairmont, Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. and other named collections attracted strong bidder participation over a dozen live and internet only auction sessions. This comprehensive collection, assembled over decades, includes nearly all issues of the Real denomination produced during Latin Americas colonial period. Many pieces have been absent from the market for years and in some cases have never been offered in the state of preservation seen here.
